What It Means to Be a Cloud Dancer Under Quiet Skies

At some point, we all have to learn to dance on our own two feet and move to the rhythms life sets before us.

Teacher Misconduct Feels Worse When It's Closer to Home

Image
Photo by Atlantic Ambience I’m not a digital nomad, but I spend a huge portion of my life online. I’m a writer by day and a blogger/content creator in my free time—when I’m not being a lazy daydreamer. I’m so used to browsing the internet that I assumed I’d grown desensitized to the disturbing news coming out of the United States: teachers abusing students.

A Life in Seasons

The Ups, the Downs, and the Turning Points: A Story of 2024

Photo by Thought Catalog 2024 wasn't a year I "owned," as social media led us to believe. Instead, it was a year of shared experiences with a select few and fleeting moments.

How I Survived the #JuneWriting Challenge with 8Letters

It was two weeks before the end of May when I found the announcement about a 30-day writing challenge by 8Letters.

May 2024: Life Update

Image
Photo by Nacho Juárez Nacho Juárez I'm joining a 30-day Writing Challenge starting today, June 1, 2024. I've been playing with an idea in my dreams lately that I felt that I needed to just write it down. I've been inspired by all the weird things I've been watching lately so here it goes.

Let's Talk About Dieting

Image
Photo by cottonbro studio There are a lot of misconceptions about the word "diet". For most people, it is usually an end-all, be-all solution to losing weight and looking good. Very few people factor in the health benefits and the immense degree of comfort it can bring.

I Was Humbled and Felt a Fraction of a Heartbreak

Image
I just woke up from a bad dream.  It was one of my worst dreams yet, so I'm writing about it. Valentine's Day 2024 is just around the corner. I've been very patient in waiting for the right inspiration to give my boyfriend as a gift. I was feeling a lot of pressure on how to plan for the occasion so before I went to bed, I had only one thing in mind: 'It's been so long since I last cried so much from heartbreak', so here we are. It wasn't like any other lucid dream I had for ages. I was vividly dreaming of something that I wasn't aware of and it hurt. Like I was getting stabbed in the chest one time and they're just twisting it every few seconds. When everyone left, I didn't mind. But when he did, it felt like the world started growing bigger and bigger and I had no other choice but to keep moving to find him.  At the end of the dream, I did find him but I was too late. He settled with someone else, and his face started to disappear. It was so ...

My Unpopular Opinion

Image
I've always been that person who liked to go above and beyond in everything. School? Check. Friendships? Double-check! Personal goals? Most definitely! It's a quality I treasure so much that I forgot how much toll it put on me. At a very young age, I seem to work myself to the bone like an adult. Now, I would prefer to be that young again and do immature, foolish things.

Getting to Know Van Gogh

Image
You're probably already familiar with this artwork and the artist who created it. For the sake of formality, I introduce you to Vincent Van Gogh. A Dutch painter born in 1853. Also known as the famous creator of the painting The Starry Night. Like most of us, I never knew much about him until recently when I started seeing his work often featured in ads, products, and even as an experience. Since getting to know a person does not have to be that hard in this day and age, I decided to embark on an online journey to get to know the tortured artist behind the canvas.
